THE MATCHUP
• The Stars look to get closer to .500 as they take on Southwestern Christian
• OCU owns the Lady Eagles as they have a perfect 18-0 record against them. 

ABOUT THE STARS
• The Stars come into the game with a record of 6-8, 3-6
• OCU dropped their last contest to Wayland Baptist 80-66 on Jan. 7
Annilia Dawn, a senior psychology major from Amarillo, Texas had a career high six steals to go along with three assists and 20 points
• She is averaging 12.9 point per game
• OCU led for majority of the game until the Pioneers shot 83 percent in the third quarter to stage a 30-14 run in the third. OCU had 11 steals as a team.
• The Stars defense ranks among the best with a 35th rank in the NAIA in blocks.
• The Stars took the seventh spot in the preseason Sooner Athletic Conference coaches' poll. Oklahoma City has seized 20 SAC regular-season championships and 12 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City owns 26 appearances in the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament with nine national championships won in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017 with four national runner-up finishes (2003, 2004, 2005, 2019). 

ABOUT THE LADY EAGLES
• Southwestern Christian holds an even 7-7 overall record and a 5-4 SAC record.
• Southwestern Christian's last game featured them getting a road win over UNT Dallas 81-76.
• MJ Case of the Lady Eagles led with a season high 17 on six for nine shooting. She averages 8.3 points per game.
• The Lady Eagles are among the best in free throws as they have a 74.9 percentage good enough for 15th in the NAIA.
• Southwestern Christian took the eighth spot in the preseason Sooner Athletic Conference coaches' poll

MEET THE COACHES
 
Kris Seigenthaler (first year at OCU)
 
• Kris Seigenthaler assumed the OCU head-coaching job after spending the last four years at Loyola (La.) as an assistant coach. Loyola made four national-tournament appearances with four 20-win seasons and twice sweeping the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles.
• Seigenthaler has had coaching stops as an assistant at Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.), Faulkner (Ala.) and Shorter (Ga.). While at Auburn Montgomery, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association included Seigenthaler among its rising stars in the coaching profession on the Thirty Under 30 list.
•Seigenthaler began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Shorter following a playing career at the University of Montevallo (Ala.) 
 
MARK ARTHUR (fifth year as women's coach)
• Was key in restarting SCU's basketball program in 1992
• Arthur was head men's basketball coach from 1992- 2012. His overall record was 404-329.
• He remains the solid core of the athletics program, bringing home numerous national, conference, and regional titles in the NCCAA. Coach Arthur was named the NCCAA in 2006 and 2010 National Coach of the Year in 2006. The court in Pickens-Springer Gymnasium named after him in 2008.
• He became SCU athletic director in 2012.
