PRINCETON, N.J. – Oklahoma City University collected 17th place in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in the men's varsity four Saturday at Mercer Lake.
The Stars earned fifth in the third level final Saturday.
Andrija Simeunovic manned the stroke seat for Oklahoma City.
OCU produced a time of 6 minutes, 46.251 seconds in its final effort of the weekend. Simeunovic, a junior from Zemun, Belgrade, Serbia, was joined in the Stars' crew by Aidan Moriarty,
Boris Dimitrijevic,
Nicola Uveric and coxswain
Sarah Tyree. OCU's best split of the race was the first 500 meters with a mark of 1:37.470. The Stars finished in front of Wisconsin.
On Friday, the Stars raced twice in the time trial and semifinal races in the men's varsity four. OCU came in sixth in the semifinal with a 6:41.405.
OCU turned in its best time of the weekend in the time trials. The Stars posted a mark of 6:22.309, good for 16th in the race Friday morning.
