OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 4 ranked Oklahoma City University improved to 16-0 with wins over Kansas Wesleyan and Texas A&M-San Antonio on Saturday at the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic at Hall of Fame Stadium.

OCU was dominant in a 11-0 six-inning win over Kansas Wesleyan in the opener, out-hitting the Coyotes 14-2.
Tiffany Paul,
Brooklyn Mason,
Mallory McCoy and
Amy Crabaugh led the hit parade with two hits apiece.

Paul, who finished with a team-high three RBIs, got the scoring started in the top of the first inning on a RBI ground out which scored
Rally Radacy. Crabaugh finished with two RBIs, on a single in the second inning and a solo home run to dead center in the fourth inning.

Paul pushed the Stars to a 9-0 lead with a 2-RBI double in the sixth inning before
Kaitlyn Jones capped off the scoring with her own 2-RBI double to left center.

Shelby Cornelson (9-0) earned the win with 5.1 innings of work. She allowed no runs on two hits (both singles) with nine strikeouts and no walks.

Game two was closer but the Stars kept their record perfect with a 5-1 win over Texas A&M-San Antonio.

Rally Radacy lifted OCU to a 2-1 lead in top of the third inning with a RBI single that plated
Nicole Robinson.
Kennedy Jackson also scored on the play after a throwing error by the Jaguar infield.

That 2-0 score stood until the fifth inning, when the Stars scored three runs to take a 5-1 lead. The runs were scored on a RBI single by Radacy and a two-RBI single by Jones.

Cornelson (10-0) picked up her second win of the day with a seven-inning complete game effort. She allowed one run on six hits with four strikeouts and two walks.

TAMUSA advanced only one runner to scoring position after scoring its lone run of the game in the first inning and that was a runner who reached second in the bottom of the seventh.

While pleased with his team's performance in the tournament, head coach
Phil McSpadden says his team still has some work to do.
Â
"We were sluggish at times this weekend but played well enough to earn the wins." McSpadden said.
Â
He concluded, "even so there are still a lot of things we need to address."

OCU returns to action on Tuesday with a doubleheader at Southwestern Christian. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
