OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University cruised to a 27-18 win over Texas Wesleyan on Wednesday night at Abe Lemons Arena. 

Keegan Luton and Drake Vannoy delivered back-to-back falls for Oklahoma City. The Stars improved to 3-0 in men's wrestling duals this season. 

OCU won six matches in a row between the 133-pound match and 165. Cooper Mahaffey started the Stars' string with a 17-3 victory over Camden Whitehead at 133. Mahaffey, a junior from Yukon, Okla., collected a near fall in the first period. Trinit Zweifel, a freshman from Enid, Okla., posted two near falls, including a four-point near fall in the first period in the 141-pound bout.  

At 149, Luton closed out his match against Austin Loza in 2:19. Luton, a sophomore from Mustang, Okla., recorded a four-point near fall before pinning Loza. Luton, ranked fifth among NAIA 149-pounders, defeated Loza, who was a 2020 all-American. Luton came in seventh last March to become a 149-pound all-American. 

Vannoy, a junior from Jenks, Okla., finished off Jakob Nakamura in 1:14. Hayden Brown, a freshman from Tutle, Okla., edged Braden Baller 5-4 at 165. Brown scored all his points in the second period. The Stars led 23-6 in the dual. 

OCU's Jack Kitchingham added a 10-1 victory over Kelvin Coker in the 197-pound contest.  

The Stars compete in the Carl Albert State Viking Open at 9 a.m. Saturday in Poteau, Okla.
