• Annilia Dawn, a 5-foot-5 senior from Amarillo, Texas, collected 11.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.14 steals a game for OCU the previous season. Dawn is one of three seniors on the 2022-23 squad
• Fiona Wilson, a 5-9 senior from Greenland, Ark., recorded 11.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.50 thefts per game last season
• The Stars took the seventh spot in the preseason Sooner Athletic Conference coaches poll. Oklahoma City has seized 20 SAC regular-season championships and 12 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City owns 26 appearances in the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament with nine national championships won in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017 with four national runner-up finishes (2003, 2004, 2005, 2019)
• OCU will meet Southwestern for the first time ever in women's basketball

ABOUT THE MOUNDBUILDERS
• Southwestern knocked off Barclay (Kan.) 71-58 on Tuesday in Winfield, Kan. The Moundbuilders (3-1) shot 32.1 percent from the field and haven't shot better than 35.6 percent this
season
• Christy Wiebe, a 5-10 junior, had 22 points, 14 rebounds and two steals. Wiebe has averaged 14.3 points and 9.0 rebounds a game this season
• Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference coaches projected Southwestern to finish 12th in the 13-team league
ABOUT THE FALCONS
• Friends suffered its first loss of the season to John Brown (Ark.) 75-34 on Nov. 5 in Bartlesville, Okla., in the Oklahoma Wesleyan Classic. The Falcons (1-2) mustered less than 40 points for the first time since falling 55-39 to Tabor (Kan.) on Nov. 26, 2019
• Rayland Garner, a 5-9 freshman, and McKenzie Shippy, a 5-10 senior, each scored seven points to lead Friends. Shippy added six rebounds. Shippy is averaging 16.5 points and 3.5 rebounds a game
• KCAC media placed Friends at fourth in the preseason poll
MEET THE COACHES
Kris Seigenthaler (first year at OCU)
• Kris Seigenthaler assumed the OCU head-coaching job after spending the last four years at Loyola (La.) as an assistant coach. Loyola made four national-tournament appearances with four 20-win seasons and twice sweeping the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles
• Seigenthaler has had coaching stops as an assistant at Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.), Faulkner (Ala.) and Shorter (Ga.). While at Auburn Montgomery, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association included Seigenthaler among its rising stars in the coaching profession on the Thirty Under 30 list.
• Seigenthaler began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Shorter following a playing career at the University of Montevallo (Ala.)
Whitney Corley (eighth year at Southwestern)
• Whitney Corley took over the head-coaching position at Southwestern on an interim basis during the 2015-16 season before getting the job officially in January 2016
• Corley became the KCAC player of the year and an NAIA Division II all-American playing for Southwestern in 2004-05
Dean Jaderston (fourth year at Friends)
• Dean Jaderston has been a head coach for more than 30 years on the high school and college levels
• Jaderston was two-time KCAC coach of the year at Sterling
