Stars take fifth in SNU Invitational

Gough spearheads OCU with 11th-place showing

EDMOND, Okla. – Oklahoma City University finished tied for fifth place in the Southern Nazarene Invitational on Tuesday at KickingBird Golf Course.
OCU, ranked 10th in NAIA women's golf, carded a 320-315–635. Natalie Gough topped the Stars with an 11th-place individual finish.
Gough, a junior from Bixby, Okla., forged a 79-75–154 on the par-70, 5,821-yard course. Gough recorded par on 23 holes during the tournament.
OCU's McKenzie McCoy posted a 77-79–156, good for a tie for 15th. McCoy, a senior from Beggs, Okla., made par 21 times over the 36 holes. Clair Hill, a senior from Gig Harbor, Wash., put together an 81-78–159.
Lauren Behnken, a junior from Tulsa, Okla., added an 83-83–166, while Rachel Eckert, a junior from Bixby, Okla., shot 85-84–169 for the Stars. Arianna Medina, a senior from Phoenix, had a 91-92–183 playing unattached.
Oklahoma City tees off next in the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions Invitational on March 22-23 in Trophy Club, Texas.
