• Oklahoma City University enters Saturday's Sooner Athletic Conference road contest at Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) with a three-game winning streak in tow
• OCU holds a 14-1 advantage in the all-time series against the Lady Lions. The Stars have won nine straight in the series with all the wins coming by a double-digit margin. SAGU's lone win in the series was a 65-52 decision in Waxahachie on Feb. 6, 2016
ABOUT THE STARS
• Oklahoma City University (7-1, 2-1 SAC) extended its winning streak to three games with a 73-66 win over UNT-Dallas on Thursday. The Stars trailed by as many as eight points in the second quarter and three points in the third quarter.
Abby Selzer, a senior center from Thomas, provided the Stars a 50-49 lead with a lay-up seconds into the fourth quarter and OCU never trailed after that point
• OCU out-rebounded UNTD 51-41, marking the seventh time in eight games that the Stars have out-rebounded their opponent this season

Erika Ankney, a senior guard from Harrah, recorded a season-high five steals and season-high tying eight assists against the Trailblazers. She also contributed 25 points, marking the third time in the last four games that she has scored 20-plus points. Ankney ranks second on the squad with a 19.7 points per game scoring average

Paige Pendley, a junior guard from Elgin, recorded her second straight double-double in the with over UNTD, finishing with a season-high 14 points to go along with 11 rebounds. She ranks second on the squad with a 6.9 rebounds per game average
• Selzer has recorded a double-double in all eight games this season. She leads the team and Sooner Athletic Conference in rebounding (12.9 rpg) while ranking second in the SAC in scoring (20.1 ppg)
• OCU received votes in the latest NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released on Nov. 17. Oklahoma City has captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017 and finished as national runner-up four times (2003, 2004, 2005 and 2019)
• The Stars took third in the preseason SAC poll. Oklahoma City owns 20 SAC regular-season titles and 12 SAC Tournament championships. Since 2007-08, OCU has gone 244-24 (.910 winning percentage) in conference play
ABOUT THE LADY LIONS
• John Brown (Ark.) defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God (4-4, 1-3) in Sooner Athletic Conference play on Thursday night in Waxahachie, Texas
• Sophomore guard Rylee Lavender and freshman guard Mary Jo Parker led the Lady Lions with 10 points scored apiece in the loss while freshman forward Jazra Williams grabbed a team-high nine rebounds
• SAGU out-rebounded John Brown 39-24 in the loss
• SAGU was picked to finish in 10th place in the conference women's basketball preseason poll
MEET THE COACHES
Brett Tahah (12-2, second season with OCU)
• Tahah is the first former OCU student-athlete to serve as head coach of the program
• As a player from 2002-10 she helped lead the team to a 63-10 record, two conference championships and two NAIA Fab Four appearances
• Tahah compiled a 117-50 head-coaching record with two state tournament semifinal berths in six years at Oklahoma high schools Frontier, Elgin, Hobart and Lookeba-Sickles
Michael Sons (6-14, second season with SAGU)
• Career spans 24 years mainly in the Christian school environment; he came to SAGU having had a long and successful career as a high school and AAU coach.
• While coaching in four different states, Sons has amassed over 520 wins at the high school level, received a State Coach of the Year award, Region Coach of the Year award, and numerous District Coach of the Year accolades.
