OKLAHOMA CITY – Sixth-seeded Oklahoma City University will open Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament play with a road game at third-seeded Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Saturday in Plainview.
Kickoff for the quarterfinal match is scheduled for 7 p.m. The winner of Saturday's game will face the winner of the Science & Arts-Texas Wesleyan game in the tournament semifinals Tuesday, Nov. 9.
WBU (10-4-1 overall) defeated OCU (9-7) 2-1 in regular season SAC play on Oct. 9 on its home field. That result snapped the Stars' five-game winning streak against the Pioneers. OCU leads the all-time series against Wayland Baptist 16-3.
