McPHERSON, Kan. – Central Christian (Kan.) scored in the 108th minute to deal Oklahoma City University a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime loss in Sooner Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening.
 
The contest was the season finale for OCU (8-8, 2-7 SAC) while CCCK (8-8-1, 3-5-1) will be the eighth seed in the upcoming SAC Tournament.
 
Maximo Paz gave Central Christian a 1-0 lead on a goal in the seventh minute before senior John Woodhead evened the score for the Stars with a goal in the 19th minute with the assist going to senior Harvey Paul.
 
Neither team would score from that point until CCCK's Drew Schrader headed the ball into the net from about 6 yards out off of a right-to-left cross from Paz Maximo with less than two minutes remaining in the second overtime period.
 
Central Christian finished with an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal but OCU senior goalkeeper Danilo Vilani kept the Stars in the game by making nine saves. The contest nearly ended towards the end of the first overtime but Vilani made a diving save on an opponent shot headed for the left post in the 98th minute before scooping up a loose ball right in front of the net of a CCCK corner kick right after that save.
