RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – Top-rated Oklahoma City University sits atop the team standings leader board after 36 holes of the Coqui Classic, leading four teams ranked in the top-10 of the latest NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top-25 poll. The talent-rich tournament is being played at the 5,944 yard, par 71 Rio Mar Country Club Ocean Course.
 
OCU carded a two-round total of 609 strokes (305-304), finishing seven strokes ahead of second place and seventh-ranked Southeastern (Fla.), which finished at 615 strokes (309-306) for the day.
 
Ninth-ranked William Carey (Miss.) is in third place at 617 strokes (310-307), third-ranked Texas Wesleyan is in fourth place at 626 stokes (313-313) and 10th ranked Indiana Wesleyan is in fifth place at 636 strokes (313-323).
 
OCU has four golfers in the top-10, with senior Natalie Gough sitting alone in second place with a 151 total (77-74). Gough is nine over-par and only two strokes behind tournament leader Danielle Owens from Southeastern.
 
Freshman Reagan Chaney is tied for third place (75-77=152), freshman Maddi Kamas is tied for fifth place (75-78=153) and freshman Paige Wood is tied for eighth place (78-76=154). Senior Lauren Behnken (86-83=169) rounded out the field for the Stars.
 
Competing as individuals for OCU were freshman Morgan Palermo (81-74=155) in 11th place, freshman Jamie Welsh (75-81=156) tied for 12th place, senior Rachel Eckert (79-79=158) tied for 17th place and freshman Meghan Charles (86-80=166).
 
The final round of the Coqui Classic will be held on Tuesday morning.
