THE MATCHUP
• Oklahoma City University aims to continue its winning ways on the road against Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas)
Bo Overton will be searching for his 150th career victory as a women's college basketball head coach
 
ABOUT THE STARS
• Oklahoma City took an 83-66 victory over Texas Wesleyan on Thursday night at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars (12-0, 5-0) stormed to a 19-2 advantage through the 1:16 mark of the first period
• Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 sophomore from Thomas, Okla., furnished OCU with a season-best 22 points in 18 minutes of play. Selzer dropped in 9 of 11 shots from the field and grabbed five rebounds and three steals. Selzer collects 15.7 points and 5.0 rebounds with a 66.3 percent field-goal percentage
• Mallory Lockhart, a 5-8 sophomore from Keller, Texas, delivered 20 points thanks to 5-for-10 shooting from the floor and sinking 5 of 9 from 3-point range. Lockhart turns in 17.0 points and 2.2 assists while shooting 42.7 percent from 3-point territory
• The Stars hand out 19.5 assists per game with a 1.38-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio to rank second nationally in both team categories. • Oklahoma City rose to second in the most recent NAIA Division I rankings. The Stars reached the NAIA Tournament for the 22nd consecutive year and for the 25th time overall last season. OCU has captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• OCU was chosen tied for first in the SAC preseason coaches' poll. The Stars took their 19th SAC regular-season championship last season. OCU has won or shared nine of the last 10 league titles, going 224-22 (.911 winning percentage) within SAC play since 2007-08
• Oklahoma City eliminated Southwestern Assemblies of God from the SAC Tournament with an 82-55 semifinal win March 1, 2019 in Oklahoma City. Selzer spearheaded the Stars with 16 points and five rebounds. OCU improved to 12-1 against Southwestern Assemblies of God over the years
 
ABOUT THE LADY LIONS
• Southwestern Assemblies of God absorbed a 75-63 loss to Southwestern Christian on Thursday in Bethany, Okla. Southwestern Assemblies (7-5, 2-3 SAC) held a 39-26 lead with 9:29 left in the third quarter
• Sydney Meador, a 5-8 junior, had 15 points and four rebounds. Meador averages 15.9 points and 4.8 rebounds a contest with a 38.8 percent shooting clip from beyond the arc
• The Lady Lions make 76.1 percent of their free-throw shots to rank eighth among NAIA Division I
• SAC coaches predicted Southwestern Assemblies of God would be the sixth-place team in the league prior to the season
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (127-22, fifth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to a 33-5 season with a trip to the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament title game in 2018-19
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympic games
• From 1998-2004, Overton served as an assistant for Oklahoma. The Sooners made five NCAA Tournament appearances during that time, with a 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth. He also earned three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament championships throughout his six years
• He has an overall record coaching college women of 149-69 in seven years as a head coach
 
Tiffany Phillips (71-62, fifth season with Southwestern Assemblies of God)
• Phillips took National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association Central Region coach of the year last season
• She led Southwestern Assemblies of God to a 21-12 mark last season for its first 20-win season since going 23-13 in 2010-11
• Phillips spurred Hector (Ark.), Marshall (Ark.) and Morrilton Sacred Heart (Ark.) to state-tournament appearances as a high-school head coach
• She had coached collegiately as an assistant at Delta State (Miss.) and Central Arkansas
