Freshman from Mutlangen, Germany, snares honor after first college start

OKLAHOMA CITY – Nadine Steiner grabbed the Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week honor for Aug. 26-Sept. 1.
Steiner, a freshman from Mutlangen, Germany, led the way for Oklahoma City in a 3-0 road win over Houston-Victoria on Saturday. She collected her first win as a Star in goal, earning her first career shutout in the process. She collected four saves during her Oklahoma City debut.
Brian Harvey collected his 800th career win with the victory.
This marks the first SAC player of the week honor of the year for the OCU women's soccer team. The Stars were awarded six player of the week honors in 2018.
