Titsworth secures win for OCU

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University collected its fourth win of the season in their final home non-conference match with a 1-0 triumph over Bethany (Kan.) on Tuesday night at Brian Harvey Field.
The Stars are back in the win column after a road loss at Oklahoma Wesleyan on Monday, winning their first three home games to start the season. OCU improved to 4-2 on the year.
Jessica Titsworth scored the only goal of the match on a five-yard shot in the 57th minute. Keilah Ayum set up Titsworth, a senior from Midwest City, Okla., on a cross from the corner. Titsworth's soft hit went right through the keeper's hands and into the back of the net.
Nadine Steiner, a freshman from Mutlangen, Germany, played the entire game in goal and picked up her fourth win of the season, along with her third shutout.
The Stars edged the Swedes (2-4) in total shots, 12-3.
OCU will go on the road again Friday. The Stars will face Bethel (Kan.) at 5 p.m. in North Newton, Kan.
