Harvey collects 800th win at OCU 3-0 over Houston-Victoria

Harvey's mark at OCU improves to 800-324-68

VICTORIA, Texas – Two goals from Madi Caputo inspired Oklahoma City University to a 3-0 victory in its women's soccer regular-season opener over Houston-Victoria on Saturday afternoon at The Cage, giving legendary head coach Brian Harvey his 800th career victory at OCU.
Harvey's combined men's and women's record sits at 800-324-68 in his 34th year. He has compiled a 429-203-41 in men's soccer and a 371-121-27 mark in women's soccer.
Caputo, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, notched the first goal of the match in the 29th minute of Saturday's contest. Rachel Brantley assisted on the goal. She scored again in the middle of the second half, putting the Stars up 3-0 and sealing the deal. Caputo has now accumulated eight goals in her OCU career.
OCU's Jessica Titsworth was credited for the Stars' second goal in the 50th minute after Houston-Victoria put on into their own net. The goal gives Titsworth her second career goal as a Star.
Oklahoma City finished with eight total shots, putting seven on goal. The Jaguars were just behind with six total shots and four on goal. Nadine Steiner, a freshman from Mutlangen, Germany, collected her first as a Star in goal, earning her first career shutout in the process.
The Stars opened their season Saturday after Tuesday's match vs. Bethany (Kan.) was postponed due to weather. OCU last faced Houston-Victoria two years ago, where the Stars came out on top 3-1 in Oklahoma City. Houston-Victoria also began their season Saturday and now sit at 0-1 to start the year.
OCU will now travel to San Antonio for a noon Monday match against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas).
