Smith seals win with two-run home run

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University seized a 3-2 win over Mid-America Christian on Saturday at Ann Lacy Stadium to clinch a spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference softball tournament championship game.
Oklahoma City (53-6) will be looking for its 19th SAC Tournament championship, facing off against No. 1 USAO at 1 p.m. at Ann Lacy Stadium in the title bout. The Drovers bring a 52-0 mark into the game.

Jaci Smith connected on a two-run home run to left-center field to drive in Kennedy Jackson and give the Stars a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. OCU scored a run in the third when Smith scored on a failed pickoff attempt by the catcher that sailed into the outfield.
