OCU crushes Central Baptist 45-3

Landgraff, McGowan take falls for Stars

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University hammered Central Baptist (Ark.) 45-3 on Friday night at Abe Lemons Arena.
Matt Landgraff and Bryson McGowan nailed pins for the Stars, ranked 11th in NAIA men's wrestling. Oklahoma City finished the season 3-2 in duals.
Connor Holman provided the Stars with an 11-3 advantage after his 16-0 technical-fall win at 149 pounds. Easton Rendleman smacked Matt Jones 17-7 in the 197-pound bout.
Holman, a freshman from Choctaw, Okla., finished off his match in 2:19. Holman racked up four near falls against his opponent.
Landgraff, a senior from Weeki Wachee, Fla., completed the 165-pound contest in 2:44. Landgraff is ranked seventh in the NAIA.
McGowan, a senior from Hulbert, Okla., needed 36 seconds to pin his foe. McGowan holds the fifth spot in the NAIA 285-pound rankings.
OCU took advantage of four forfeits by Central Baptist.
The Stars compete in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 in Plainview, Texas.
