• OCU routed Southwestern Christian 95-37 on Tuesday at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars (22-2, 15-1 SAC) posted their fourth victory by 50 or more points of the season with their 58-point win
• Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 freshman from Thomas, Okla., produced 21 points and seven rebounds. Selzer shot 9-for-10 from the field. Selzer supplies OCU with 16.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.17 blocks per contest. Selzer has retaken the top spot in the NAIA with her 65.4 field-goal percentage
• Brennyn Seagler, a 5-11 junior from Gruver, Texas, tallied a season-high 17 points with seven rebounds and four assists. Seagler has averaged 11.3 points and 6.2 rebounds a game over the past six contests. Seagler turns in 7.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while hitting 40.8 percent from 3-point range
• The Stars top the NAIA by holding foes to a 27.9 percent field-goal percentage and beating opponents by an average margin of 30.5 points. OCU ranks second nationally in field-goal percentage (47.2 percent), free-throw percentage (78.6 percent), scoring defense per game (49.3 points), assists per game (19.7), assists (473), blocked shots (155), defensive rebounds per game (33.4), defensive 3-point shooting (22.6 percent) and average rebounding margin (plus-13.0). • OCU remained at 12th in the most recent NAIA Division I top 25. Oklahoma City added to the NAIA's longest streak of top-25 appearances, making its 250th consecutive national ranking dating back to 1997-98. OCU has made 24 trips to the NAIA Division I Tournament and captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• The Stars picked up the second spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll. Oklahoma City took its 18th SAC regular-season championship and 12th SAC Tournament title last season. OCU has won or shared nine of the past 11 league titles, going 215-21 (.911 winning percentage) within SAC play since 2007-08
• OCU raced past Southwestern Assemblies of God 94-79 in overtime Jan. 23 at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars' Michaela Kay sank a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2.4 seconds to go in regulation, but Lexi Rich forced overtime with a 3 of her own. OCU outscored SAGU 15-0 in overtime. Oklahoma City improved its lead in the all-time series to 10-1
ABOUT THE LADY LIONS
• Southwestern Assemblies of God knocked off Texas Wesleyan 67-54 on Thursday in Waxahachie, Texas. The Lady Lions (17-7, 11-5 SAC) nailed 10 of 18 3-pointers
• Lexi Rich, a 5-8 junior, had 25 points, nailing 9 of 16 from the field and 7-for-11 from 3-point range. She is the three-time SAC player of the week. Rich averages 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.17 steals a game. She ranks second in the NAIA with 88 treys and 3.67 3-pointers a game
• Southwestern Assemblies of God ranks third nationally with 9.04 3s per game and 217 3-pointers made
• SAGU had been placed at sixth in the preseason SAC poll
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (104-19, fourth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 28-6 season with the SAC regular-season and tournament crowns in 2017-18
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
• He has an overall record coaching college women of 126-66, notching his 100th career win in a 78-53 victory at Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Feb. 23, 2018
Tiffany Phillips (60-52, fourth season with SAGU)
• Phillips took Hector (Ark.), Marshall (Ark.) and Morrilton Sacred Heart (Ark.) to state-tournament appearances as a high-school head coach
• She had coached collegiately as an assistant at Delta State (Miss.) and Central Arkansas
