ABOUT THE STARS
• The Stars knocked off Texas Wesleyan 60-49 on Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas. Oklahoma City (15-2, 8-1 SAC) has an eight-game road winning streak
Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 freshman from Thomas, Okla., steered the Stars with 20 points, three rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 18 minutes of play. Selzer records 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest. Selzer puts together a 63.4 percent field-goal percentage to rate second in the NAIA
Brennyn Seagler, a 5-11 junior from Gruver, Texas, contributed her first double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and two steals. Seagler amasses 6.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists a game
• The Stars top NAIA Division I by limiting foes to a 28.6 percent field-goal percentage. Taylor Sylvester ranks sixth nationally with 2.8 blocked shots a game and 47 rejections. To see how the Stars rate among NAIA Division I statistically, click here
• OCU moved to No. 12 in the last NAIA ranking. Oklahoma City added to the NAIA's longest streak of top-25 appearances, making its 249th consecutive top 25 dating back to 1997-98. OCU has made 24 trips to the NAIA Division I Tournament and captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• The Stars picked up the second spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll. Oklahoma City took its 18th SAC regular-season championship and 12th SAC Tournament title last season. OCU has won or shared nine of the past 11 league titles, going 208-21 (.908 winning percentage) within SAC play since 2007-08
• The Stars have gone 9-1 against SAGU over the years. OCU overpowered SAGU 78-53 on Feb. 23, 2018 in their last meeting Daniela Galindo led the charge with 25 points
 
ABOUT THE LADY LIONS
• SAGU conquered Southwestern Christian 73-66 on Saturday in Waxahachie, Texas. SAGU (11-6, 6-4 SAC) held an opponent to less than 50 points for the fourth time this season
• Lexi Rich, a 5-8 junior, had 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal. Gleason equaled her season high with five 3-pointers. Rich provides her team with 18.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.17 steals a contest, Rich ranks second in the NAIA making 92.6 percent of free throw per game, fourth in the nation in total 3-pointers made with 58 and makes 3.22 3-pointers per game to be fifth best in the NAIA
• Kiara Glenn, a 5-5 sophomore, chipped in 19 points, four assists, three rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot. Glenn averages 10.1 points, 3.3 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.06 steals per game
• The Lady Lions make 76.0 percent of free throws a game to rate 5th nationally
• SAGU had been placed at sixth in the preseason SAC poll
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (97-19, fourth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 28-6 season with the SAC regular-season and tournament crowns in 2017-18
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
• He has an overall record coaching college women of 119-66, notching his 100th career win in a 78-53 victory at Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Feb. 23, 2018


Tiffany Phillips (54-51, fourth season with SAGU)
• Phillips took Hector (Ark.), Marshall (Ark.) and Morrilton Sacred Heart (Ark.) to state-tournament appearances as a high-school head coach
• She had coached collegiately as an assistant at Delta State (Miss.) and Central Arkansas
