ABOUT THE STARS
• The Stars trampled Panhandle State 80-51 on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena. Oklahoma City (14-2, 7-1 SAC) have limited opponents to 55 points or less 12 times this season
Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 freshman from Thomas, Okla., paced the Stars with 21 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes of play. Selzer collected her second consecutive double-double and fourth double-double of the season. She turns in 16.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.38 blocks per contest. Selzer puts together a 62.5 percent field-goal percentage to rate second in the NAIA
Taylor LaCour, a 6-1 senior from Georgetown, Texas, contributed 13 points, six rebounds and two steals. LaCour accumulates 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds a game

• OCU moved to No. 12 in the last NAIA ranking. Oklahoma City added to the NAIA's longest streak of top-25 appearances, making its 249th consecutive top 25 dating back to 1997-98. OCU has made 24 trips to the NAIA Division I Tournament and captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• The Stars picked up the second spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll. Oklahoma City took its 18th SAC regular-season championship and 12th SAC Tournament title last season. OCU has won or shared nine of the past 11 league titles, going 207-21 (.908 winning percentage) within SAC play since 2007-08
• Oklahoma City ripped Texas Wesleyan 79-59 on Feb. 25, 2018 at Abe Lemons Arena in the most recent clash between the two teams. OCU recorded its 19th 25-win season in 20 years
• The Stars have gone 14-0 against Texas Wesleyan over the years
 
ABOUT THE LADY RAMS
• Texas Wesleyan trounced Langston 77-48 on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas. Texas Wesleyan (8-9, 6-3 SAC) held an opponent to less than 50 points for the fourth time this season
• Nicole Gleason, a 5-11 junior, had 17 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots. Gleason equaled her season high with five 3-pointers. Gleason provides her team with 12.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.50 steals a contest
• Evie Whorley, a 5-5 sophomore, rang up 17 points, four rebounds and three assists while hitting 6 of 8 shots from the floor. Whorley averages 9.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game
• The Lady Rams pick up 33.0 defensive rebounds a game to rate 11th nationally
• Texas Wesleyan had been placed at seventh in the preseason SAC poll
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (96-19, fourth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 28-6 season with the SAC regular-season and tournament crowns in 2017-18
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
• He has an overall record coaching college women of 118-66, notching his 100th career win in a 78-53 victory at Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Feb. 23, 2018
 
Steve Trachier (17-28, second season with Texas Wesleyan)
• The Lady Rams are attempting to equal their win total and already matched their number of SAC victories from last season
• Added coached duties while serving Texas Wesleyan in his seventh year as athletic director
• Guided Texas Wesleyan into the SAC in 2013-14 and in reviving Texas Wesleyan's football program after a 76-year absence from campus
