ABOUT THE STARS
• Oklahoma City's winning streak came to an end in a 70-63 setback to Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars (13-2, 6-1 SAC) scored a season-low 63 points and shot 34.4 percent from the field for their third game with an under-40 percent field-goal percentage this season
Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 freshman from Thomas, Okla., supplied OCU with  her third double-double of the season with 19 points 12 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Selzer produces 15.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.30 blocks a contest this season. Selzer's 62.9 percent field-goal percentage is second best across the nation
Payton Taylor, a 6-0 sophomore from Ada, Okla., added seven points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Taylor averages 6.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game
• The Stars hold teams to the lowest shooting percentage from the field in the NAIA at 28.6 percent and dishes out the second most assists per contest with 19.1, while securing the second most defensive rebounds per game with 32.5. • Oklahoma City maintained the 10th spot in the most recent NAIA Division I ratings. Oklahoma City extended the NAIA's longest streak of top-25 appearances to 248 consecutive rankings dating back to 1997-98. The Stars reached the NAIA Tournament for the 21st consecutive year and for the 24th time overall last season. OCU has captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• The Stars picked up the second spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll. Oklahoma City took its 18th SAC regular-season championship and 12th SAC Tournament title last season. OCU has won or shared nine of the past 11 league titles, going 206-21 (.907 winning percentage) within SAC play since 2007-08
• OCU dominated Oklahoma Panhandle State 87-66 on Feb. 8, 2018 at Oscar Williams Field House in Goodwell, Okla. OCU leads the all-time series 5-0

ABOUT THE AGGIES
• Panhandle State (8-5, 4-3 SAC) dropped a 62-61 contest at Southwestern Christian on Thursday in Bethany, Okla. Taylor Acosta and junior Addison Munsch combined for 13 straight points to pull Panhandle into a one-point advantage (52-51) at the five-minute mark
• Acosta, a 5-2 senior, produced 22 points, two assists and a rebound. Acosta averages 12.5 points, 2.6 assist, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals a game
• Munsch, a 5-7 junior, tops Panhandle State with 15.5 points per contest
• Panhandle holds opponents to 35 percent shooting from the field to rank 15th in the NAIA
• SAC coaches predicted Panhandle State to finish ninth in the league.
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (95-19, fourth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 28-6 season with the SAC regular-season and tournament crowns in 2017-18
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
• He has an overall record coaching college women of 117-66, notching his 100th career win in a 78-53 victory at Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Feb. 23, 2018

Victor Esparza (22-19, second season with Panhandle State)
• Elevated to the head-coaching position after serving 2016-17 as assistant to Charles Terry
• Previously served as head basketball coach at Raton (N.M.) High School
• Panhandle State alum who spent seven years as assistant men's basketball coach and became head men's and women's cross country coach
