THE MATCHUP

• Oklahoma City University wraps up 2018 with a non-conference matchup against Wiley College (Texas)
• Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and OCU students, faculty and staff get into all regular-season OCU home athletics events free with their ID

ABOUT THE STARS
• Oklahoma City University overpowered Bacone 97-22 on Saturday, Dec. 15 at home. The Stars (10-1, 4-0 SAC) outscored Bacone 50-4 in the paint, while holding Bacone to 14.5 percent shooting from the floor
Abby Selzer, a 6-foot-2 freshman from Thomas, Okla., posted a game-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds two blocks and two assists. Selzer averages in 15.2 points and 6.3 rebounds a game with a NAIA leading 72.7 percent field-goal percentage
Mallory Lockhart, a 5-11 freshman from Keller, Texas, provided OCU with 14 points with 4-for-10 shooting from 3-point range. Lockhart chips in 12.2 points and shoot at a 48.6 3-point percentage per contest
• The Stars lead NAIA Division I with 34.5 defensive rebounds a game and the lowest opponents' field-goal percentage (27.8 percent). To see how OCU stacks up to the rest of the NAIA statistically, click here
• Oklahoma City sits at 10th in the preseason NAIA Division I rankings. The Stars reached the NAIA Tournament for the 21st consecutive year and for the 24th time overall last season. OCU has captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• The Stars picked up the second spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll. Oklahoma City took its 18th SAC regular-season championship and 12th SAC Tournament title last season. OCU has won or shared eight of the past nine league titles, going 203-20 (.910 winning percentage) within SAC play during that span
• OCU topped Wiley in their only other meeting 89-64 on Oct. 25, 2008. Laura Duncan scored 16 points, sinking 3 of 5 from 3-point range.
• OCU's all-time record against Wiley is 1-0

ABOUT THE LADY WILDCATS
• Wiley rallied past Jarvis Christian on Thursday Dec. 13 in Marshall, Texas. The Lady Wildcats (4-6) pull down 15.3 offensive rebounds a game
• Armonie Lomax, a junior forward, had 23 points and seven rebounds. Lomax averages 15 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest
• Wiley ranks 31st in the NAIA with 11.1 steals per game
• The Lady Wildcats were picked by the Red River Athletic Conference coaches to finish sixth in the Red River Athletic Conference.

 

MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (92-18, fourth season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 28-6 season with the SAC regular-season and tournament crowns in 2017-18
• Overton has coached four all-Americans while at OCU, including Daniela Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year, and Daniela Galindo, the 2018 WBCA NAIA player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
 
Bianca McGee (17-19, 2nd season)
• McGee served as assistant coach for Trinity Valley Community College. During the 2015-16 season, she was an assistant coach for Ranger College and served as acting head coach for six games
• McGee coached Red River Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference selection Malachi McQueen, Second Team All-Conference Selection Ty Colquitt, and All-Conference Honorable Mention Damonica Franklin
• McGee was a team captain for Kilgore College and for two seasons, she was team captain of Western Kentucky University. She earned the opportunity to try out for WNBA teams Indiana Fever and New York Liberty
