OCU blanks Our Lady of the Lake 1-0

Stars return to action 1 p.m. Saturday against St. Thomas

SAN ANTONIO – Oklahoma City University men's soccer topped Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) 1-0 on Friday at OLLU Field.
Henrik Verolet, a junior from Schliengen, Germany, scored the winning goal for the Stars. OCU secured its second shutout in a row to improve to 2-0, while Our Lady of the Lake dropped to 0-1. 
Verolet collected his third goal of the year in the 54th minute of the match coming via an assist from junior James Beattie. Beattie, from Glasgow, Scotland, has tallied an assist in both of OCU's matches this year and leads the team in that category.
Vladimir Kalajdzic produced another shutout for the Stars on Friday. The senior goalkeeper accumulated 10 saves and now has a total of 12 saves and zero goals allowed in 2017. 
OCU booted seven total shots, four on goal. Our Lady of the Lake launched 15 total shots, 10 on goal.
Oklahoma City takes on St. Thomas (Texas) at 1 p.m. Saturday in San Antonio.
