• Oklahoma City University wraps up the first semester with a road trip to Sooner Athletic Conference foe Bacone
• The Stars have won 14 in a row and 25 of their last 26 in conference play

ABOUT THE STARS
• The Stars prevailed 65-60 over John Brown (Ark.) on Dec. 9 in Siloam Springs, Ark., in a matchup of top 20-ranked teams in NAIA Division I. Oklahoma City (9-2, 3-0 SAC) improved to 3-1 against ranked competition this season, outscoring the 18th-ranked Golden Eagles 9-3 in the final 4:21 of the game
Daniela Galindo, a 5-foot-10 senior from Shattuck, Okla., supplied OCU with 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. Galindo took her second SAC player of the week accolade in three weeks by averaging 23.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.00 steals a contest Dec. 4-10. Galindo posts 22.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.55 steals a game
Michaela Kay, a 5-8 junior from Spokane, Wash., turned in a season-best 13 points while hitting 5 of 6 shots from the floor and 3 of 4 3-point shots. Kay has shot 66.7 percent (12-for-18) from beyond the arc. She contributes 6.3 points and 1.7 rebounds a game in 2017-18
• Among the NAIA, OCU ranks fifth in 3-point shooting (39.8 percent) and eighth in free-throw shooting (77.0 percent). To see how the Stars compare with the rest of NAIA Division I statistically, click here
• OCU moved to eighth in the latest NAIA Division I ratings. Oklahoma City has made 23 trips to the NAIA Division I Tournament and captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017. OCU appeared in the rankings for the 240th consecutive time since 1997-98 for the NAIA's longest such streak
• The Stars have been installed as the favorite to win the Sooner Athletic Conference in the preseason coaches poll. OCU took its 17th SAC regular-season championships and 11th SAC Tournament title in 2016-17. The Stars have won or shared seven of the past eight SAC regular-season titles and have gone 148-11 (.931 winning percentage) in league play during that span
• Oklahoma City routed Bacone 70-43 on Feb. 28 at Abe Lemons Arena in the SAC Tournament quarterfinals. Brooke Irwin chipped in 12 points and six rebounds on 6-of-7 shooting from the field. OCU owns a 5-0 all-time record against Bacone
 
ABOUT THE LADY WARRIORS
• Bacone pounded Randall 104-68 on Monday in Muskogee, Okla. The Lady Warriors (6-2, 1-1 SAC) broke 100 points for the first time since a 103-91 win over Ecclesia (Ark.) on Feb. 25, 2016 in Springdale, Ark.
• Jakierra Drummer, a 6-foot junior, put together 18 points and four rebounds. Drummer averages 13.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.88 steals a contest
• Bacone leads the NAIA with 50.9 rebounds and 21.3 offensive rebounds per game as a team
• The Lady Warriors were slotted at 10th in the preseason SAC coaches poll
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (63-13, third season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 34-2 season, accruing 2017 NAIA Division I and Sooner Athletic Conference coach of the year awards
• Overton has coached three all-Americans while at OCU, including Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
 
Josh Nichols (26-41, third season with Bacone)
• Led Bacone to a 9-20 mark and an eighth-place showing in the SAC in 2016-17
• Spent four years as assistant to Bacone athletic director and men's coach Alan Foster
• Played at Oklahoma Wesleyan and later coached there as an assistant
