• No. 1-ranked Oklahoma City University completes its 2017-18 non-conference schedule in the Our Lady of the Lake Classic

ABOUT THE STARS
• The Stars (5-1) dealt ninth-ranked Benedictine (Kan.) its first loss of the season 73-60 on Tuesday evening in Atchison, Kan. OCU collected a win over a ranked opponent for the second game in a row, while Benedictine dropped to 7-1
Daniela Galindo, a 5-foot-10 senior from Shattuck, Okla., powered OCU with 19 points and seven rebounds while shooting 4-for-7 from beyond the 3-point line. Galindo leads Oklahoma City in scoring (19.0 points per game), assists per game (3.7) and steals a contest (3.17). Galindo ranks seventh nationally with 3.00 treys per game
Brooke Irwin, a 6-3 junior from Mustang, Okla., delivered 14 points and six rebounds while hitting 5 of her 8 shots from the floor. Irwin averages 14.8 points and 6.2 rebounds a game and ranks ninth in the NAIA in field-goal percentage (60.7)

• OCU owns the No. 1 spot in the preseason NAIA Division I rankings. Oklahoma City has made 23 trips to the NAIA Division I Tournament and captured nine national championships in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017
• The Stars have been installed as the favorite to win the Sooner Athletic Conference in the preseason coaches poll. OCU took its 17th SAC regular-season championships and 11th SAC Tournament title in 2016-17
• OCU topped Our Lady of the Lake 100-92 on Nov. 19, 2016 at Abe Lemons Arena in the last meeting between the two squads. Oklahoma City holds a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series  
 
ABOUT THE WILDCATS
• Our Lady of the Lake took a 94-70 win over Culver-Stockton on Wednesday in San Antonio. Our Lady of the Lake hit 61 percent of its shots from the field in the second half to down Culver-Stockton (4-3)
• Andrekia Thompson, a 5-7 senior, came off the bench to provide Culver-Stockton 16 points and five rebounds. Thompson sank all three of her 3-point attempts
• Culver-Stockton ranks third in the NAIA in defensive rebounding (33.0 per game)
• Heart of America Athletic Conference coaches picked Culver-Stockton to finish 11th in the preseason league poll
 
ABOUT THE SAINTS
• Quintianna LeShore, a 5-5 senior, and Kasey Saldana, a 5-3 sophomore, each tallied 30 points against Culver-Stockton. LeShore hit 13 of her 19 field-goal attempts, while Saldana knocked in 7-of-10 from 3-point range
• Our Lady of the Lake (4-2) leads the NAIA with a plus-12.40 turnover margin
• The Saints entered the season as the preseason favorite to take the Red River Athletic Conference title
 
MEET THE COACHES
Bo Overton (59-12, third season with OCU)
• Led Stars to 34-2 season, accruing 2017 NAIA Division I and Sooner Athletic Conference coach of the year awards
• Overton has coached three all-Americans while at OCU, including Wallen, the 2017 NAIA Division I player of the year
• Overton served as an assistant coach for the Chinese national team in the 2012 Olympics
• From 1998-2004, he served as assistant for Oklahoma. During that time, the Sooners made five NCAA Tournament trips with the 2002 NCAA runner-up finish and Final Four berth with three Big 12 regular-season titles and two conference tournament crowns
 
Janette Burgin (60-64, sixth season with Culver-Stockton)
• Led Culver-Stockton to a turnaround from four wins in her first year as head coach to consecutive 20-win seasons
• Coached Kati Davis, the 2015 Emil S. Liston Award winner
• Came to Culver-Stockton after helping Central Methodist (Mo.) to its first NAIA Tournament appearance as an assistant
 
Christopher Minner (142-30, ninth season with Our Lady of the Lake)
• Our Lady of the Lake has won or shared the past five Red River Athletic Conference regular-season championships
• In conference play, Our Lady of the Lake has gone 35-1 the past two seasons
• Minner attained an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake in spring 2013
