Stars finish dual season 4-3

PLAINVIEW, Texas – Oklahoma City University suffered a 41-3 setback to Wayland Baptist (Texas) on Wednesday at the Hutcherson Center.
Cassidy Jasperson picked up the Stars' lone victory of the dual. OCU, ranked third in the Women's College Wrestling Association dual ratings, finished 2016-17 at 4-3 in duals.
Jasperson, a junior from League City, Texas, won 6-0 over Leah Olguin in the 116-pound match.
Seventh-ranked Wayland Baptist benefited from four forfeits. Wayland Baptist's Brittany Bates and Marina Briceno pinned OCU wrestlers.
The Stars compete next in the McKendree Bearcat Open at 9 a.m. Jan. 28 in Lebanon, Ill.
