INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) eliminated Oklahoma City University from the NAIA Division I women's basketball tournament 67-52 on Wednesday night at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
Oklahoma City concluded its season 20-9. The 17th-ranked Stars had captured the past two national championships and three national titles in four years. OCU has won national crowns in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014 and 2015.
Oklahoma City posted its 18th consecutive 20-win season and 19th national-tournament appearance in a row. OCU had notched 17 25-win seasons in a row. During that streak from 1998-2015, OCU went 533-65, averaging 29.6 wins per season with 11 30-victory seasons and an .891 winning percentage.
OCU dropped to 66-14 in NAIA Tournament play. The Stars remained one victory shy of tying the all-time record for NAIA Tournament wins. Lewis-Clark State snapped OCU's 10-game winning string in the NAIA Tournament and the Stars' seven-game winning streak in first-round national-tournament games.

In the second quarter, Janae Haag sank a pair of free throws to cut OCU's deficit to 36-27 with 1:31 left in the first half. Megan Risinger responded with a 3 for Lewis-Clark State at the 1:01 mark.
