OCU falls 2-1 in double overtime to St. Gregory’s

Brewer nets her third goal of season

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Oklahoma City University women's soccer team fell 2-1 in double overtime to St. Gregory's at Fr. Victor Roberts Field Tuesday.
After falling behind 1-0, Keeley Brewer, a junior from Corinth, Texas, headed in her third goal of the season to tie the game at one each in the 76th minute off of a corner kick by Britani Tripp. The Stars went to 5-8, 3-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Tripp, a senior from Edmond, Okla., tallied her team-leading third assist of the year.
Both of St. Gregory's goals came off the leg of Abi Housecroft. Her first goal was in the 58th minute and the second came in the 102nd.
Kirsten Thomas, a sophomore from Keller, Texas, played the entire game in goal and recorded three saves.
The Stars out-shot the Cavaliers 17-7 and also held a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal.
OCU heads to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on Texas Wesleyan at 5 p.m. Saturday.
