McKenna of OCU reels in SAC defensive player of week

Sophomore from Las Vegas notches first weekly league honor

OKLAHOMA CITY – Kayla McKenna of Oklahoma City University notched the first Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week honor of the season.
McKenna, a sophomore from Las Vegas, posted the shutout in her first start at goalkeeper in the Stars' 6-0 rout of Lyon (Ark.) on Saturday at Stars Field.
McKenna faced nine shots and earned four saves. Lyon produced 13 shots in the match.
The Stars gave their coach Brian Harvey his 724th career victory, bringing his combined men's and women's college record to 724-275-60 in his 30th year at OCU. Harvey will strive for his 725th win when OCU meets Oklahoma Baptist in a men's contest 6 p.m. Thursday in Shawnee, Okla.
OCU returns to action against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Stars Field. Watch the contest via live video.
