OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Vladimir Kalajdzic became Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer defensive player of the week for Oct. 19-25.
Kalajdzic, a sophomore from Novi Sad, Serbia, notched his second and third shutouts of the season. In the Stars' 2-0 victory on Tuesday against St. Gregory's Kalajdzic recorded four saves, while he registered a season-high 10 saves in the 3-0 win against Texas Wesleyan on Saturday.
The Stars goalkeeper reeled in two SAC defensive player of the week honors last year for the weeks of Sept. 22-28 and Aug. 25-31. Kalajdzic has accumulated 67 saves, three shutouts and a 1.94 goals-against average this season.
OCU (5-8, 5-2 in SAC play) competes next against Wayland Baptist (Texas) at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Plainview, Texas. Watch the contest live here.
