OCU dominates USAO 87-51

Stars extend winning streak to eight

Yvonte Neal scored 14 points for the Stars.
Box Score CHICKASHA, Okla. – Oklahoma City University controlled USAO 87-51 Thursday night at USAO Fieldhouse.
The Stars started the game on a 22-2 run. OCU, ranked second in NAIA Division I women's basketball, improved to 8-1, 3-0 in Sooner Athletic Conference play, while USAO went to 5-6, 2-1 in SAC play.
Ouleymatou Coulibaly, a senior from Bamako, Mali, West Africa, led all scorers with 24 points and eight rebounds. Coulibaly was 9-of-10 shooting from the floor and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.
Yvonte Neal, a senior from Spring Valley, Calif., added 14 points, two assists and two steals. Marisha Wallace, a senior from Midwest City, Okla., scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds in her second appearance for the Stars.
The Stars defense led into many of OCU's points. Oklahoma City held USAO to 33.3 percent (17-of-51) shooting in the game and forced USAO into 24 turnovers.
OCU continues conference play 3 p.m. Saturday against Mid-America Christian at Abe Lemons Arena.
