Bechtold of OCU snares SAC defensive player of week

Senior from Oklahoma City honored for second consecutive week by league

Ashley Bechtold earned her fourth career Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week nod.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Ashley Bechtold of Oklahoma City University garnered Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week for the second consecutive time.
Bechtold, a senior from Oklahoma City, led the Stars to a 4-0 shutout of Oklahoma Christian on Thursday. She added six saves in the win.
On the year, Bechtold has allowed one goal in three matches for a 0.33 goals-against average. She has 14 saves this season.
