Oklahoma City falls 4-1 to No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene

Stars drop second match in a row

Kieran McLachlan scored his first goal of the season on Saturday.
Box Score OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University lost 4-1 to No. 11-ranked MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) on Saturday at Stars Field.
The Stars dropped two in a row after their 1-0 defeat at Texas-Tyler. OCU fell to 1-3-1 in men's soccer.
MidAmerica Nazarene drew first blood in the 29th minute when Lucas Machado found the back of the net for his third of the season. The Pioneers scored again in the 48th minute off a corner kick from Eddie Morales. Jelani Jillo scored off a ball that was deflected off the head of Aurelien Norest.
OCU pulled within one in the 59th minute when Kieran McLachlan, a senior from Airdrie, Scotland, picked up his first goal of the season. Ruy Vaz, a senior from Sao Paolo, Brazil, collected the assist.
MidAmerica Nazarene extended the lead when Lucas Machado scored his fourth goal of the season in the 61st minute. The Pioneers put the game out of reach in the 77th minute when Felipe Abreu scored his first goal of the season.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia, grabbed nine saves for the Stars.
OCU hosts Wayland Baptist (Texas) at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at Stars Field.
