Stars cruise past Bethel 3-0

OCU improves to 5-0 on the season

Allison Worsham scored a hat trick in the Stars victory.

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University took care of Bethel (Tenn.) 3-0 on Saturday in the John Brown Invitational.
Allison Worsham, a junior from Edmond, Okla., scored the hat trick to keep the undefeated season alive. The Stars improved to 5-0, and Bethel fell to 0-5.
Worsham found the back of the net in the 42nd minute to put the Stars up 1-0 going into halftime. Ashleigh Story, a senior from Edmond, Okla., picked up the assist.
Worsham scored again in the 57th minute.
In the 73rd minute, Worsham completed her trio of goals for her seventh goal of the season. Keeley Brewer, a sophomore from Wichita, Kan., had the assist.
Ashley Bechtold, a senior from Oklahoma City, reeled in four saves and collected her fourth shutout of the season.
OCU plays again on Sep. 27 at 5 p.m. against Wayland Baptist (Texas) at Stars Field.
