OCU ties Our Lady of the Lake 1-1

SAN ANTONIO – Oklahoma City University tied Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) 1-1 on Sunday at OLLU Field.
Alexandre Taiar, a freshman from Sao Paulo, Brazil, netted the first goal of his career in the 38th minute. Jeffrey Matthews, a freshman from Dallas, got the assist.
The Stars went to 0-1-1 in men's soccer.
The Saints found the equalizer in the 52nd minute when Elias Cortes scored on a pass from Sebastian Luehr.
Our Lady of the Lake took 26 shots while OCU took 15.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia, collected 11 saves for the Stars.
OCU returns home to take on Southern Nazarene at 6 p.m. on Sept. 9 at Stars Field.
