Stars fall 1-0 to Houston-Victoria

Ruy Vaz had one shot on goal but the Stars fell to Houston-Victoria 1-0.

SAN ANTONIO – Oklahoma City University lost 1-0 to Houston-Victoria on Friday in the Stars' men's soccer season opener at Our Lady of the Lake Field.
Miguel Cruz scored for the Jaguars in the 28th minute and was assisted by James Samuel.
The Stars generated one shot before halftime. Houston-Victoria owned the shots advantage 8-1.
Arthur Lamparter, the Jaguars' starting goalkeeper, received a red card in the 55th minute and was ejected from the game. OCU failed to capitalize with backup keeper Mark MacPhee in.
Vladimir Kalajdzic played all 90 minutes for the Stars and had four saves.
The Stars play Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at 3 p.m. Sunday in San Antonio
