Stars slip in SAC Tournament finals

OCU hopes for an at-lage bid

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City University fell to USAO 2-0 Friday night at Stars Field in the Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer tournament finals.
For the third time in four years, USAO captured the SAC Tournament championship. USAO snapped the Stars' three-game winning streak, moving OCU to 10-5-2 on the year.
USAO provided offensive pressure all night. The Drovers had 14 shots on goal, while the Stars only provided two.
In the 24th minute, Kyle Maxwell scored his ninth goal of the season to put USAO on the scoreboard. Twenty-seven seconds before halftime, Alex Hortal found the back of the net to go up 2-0, which would be the final score.
Seniors Ruy Vaz, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Danny Frid, of Raunds, England, each had one shot on target for the OCU.
