Stars pick up first conference victory

OCU goes to 1-2 in conference play

Ashley Bechtold picked up her fifth shutout of the season with the Stars win.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) 2-0 on Saturday at Stars Field.
Allison Worsham, a junior from Edmond, Okla., scored both goals. The Stars went to 6-2, 1-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer.
Worsham first found the back of the net in the 61st minute to give the Stars the second half lead. Carissa Turang provided the assist.
In the 76th minute, Worsham scored her 10th goal of the season to extend the OCU lead. Keren Sharabi was on the assist. The Stars had the advantage in shots 15-3.
Ashley Bechtold, a senior from Oklahoma City, collected two saves in the shutout.
The Stars take on St. Gregory's at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Shawnee, Okla.
