OCU controls Southwestern Assemblies of God 4-0

Stars improve to 2-0-1 in conference play

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University took down Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) 4-0 on Saturday at Stars field.
Kieran McLachlan, a senior from Airdrie, Scotland, collected three assists in the match. The Stars improved to 3-3-2, 2-0-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer.
Marlon DeLeon scored his first goal of the season in the 30th minute to put OCU on top. McLachlan provided the assist.
In the 55th minute Daniel Yeom, a junior from Tongyeong, South Korea, netted his second goal of the season to extend the Stars lead. Ruy Vaz, a senior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, picked up the assist.
Oklahoma City scored again in the 83rd minute when Vaz picked up his third goal of the year, again McLachlan had the assist.
The Stars scored for the final time in the 88th minute. McLachlan found Jeffrey Matthews, a freshman from Dallas, off a corner kick for Matthews' first goal as a Star.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia, collected three saves in the shut out.
Oklahoma City plays St. Gregory's at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Shawnee, Okla.
