OCU gets shut out by USAO

Stars finish 5-8-1 in the regular season

Box Score OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University got blanked against Science and Arts 2-0 Friday night at Stars Field.
The Stars dropped three straight to close the regular season. Christy Tran, a junior from Wichita Kan., led OCU with two shots on goal. The Stars fell to 5-8-1, 3-5-1 in Sooner Athletic women's soccer.
USAO scored two unanswered goals in the first half. Jade Ovendale scored her 29th goal of the season in the 36th minute to give USAO the 1-0 lead. In the 44th minute Shay Nash found the back of the net to score the final goal of the game.
Angela Clifton, a junior from Bethany, Okla., collected two saves for the Stars.
OCU clinched the seventh seed in the SAC so they will move on to the SAC Tournament. Pairings for the tournament will be announced Tuesday.
