Stars suffer first conference defeat

OCU went to 7-4-2

FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma City University fell to Texas Wesleyan 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night at Martin Field.
Texas Wesleyan held the 17-11 shot advantage. OCU went to 7-4-2, 6-1-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer.
Danny Frid, a senior from Raunds, England, capitalized for the Stars in the eighth minute. Daniel Yoem, a junior from Tongyeong, South Korea, picked up the assist to put the Stars up 1-0 early.
In the 78th minute OCU fouled a Texas Wesleyan player inside the box, giving them a penalty kick. Cody Marlow converted the penalty to tie the score.
Brandon Head gave Texas Wesleyan the victory seven minutes into overtime.
OCU celebrates senior night Friday 7 p.m. at Stars Field.
