OCU falls to Mid-America Christian

Stars go to 3-3-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University lost to Mid-American Christian 3-2 in overtime at Evangel Field.
Allison Worsham scored two goals in the Stars' loss. OCU fell to 5-6-1, 3-3-1 in Sooner Athletic women's soccer.
Worsham, a junior from Edmond, Okla., scored the first two goals of the game. In the 12th minute she collected a deflected shot and found the back of the net to put the Stars up 1-0. Worsham then scored her 14th goal of the season in the 44th minute.
Mid-America Christian came fighting back coming out of the locker room.  Cici Mitchell scored in the 53rd minute to cut the OCU lead. Brianna Jezioro provided the assist. A minute later Chelsea Swisher scored the equalizer for Mid-America Christian.
Brianna Jezioro netted the game winner in the 94th minute to give Mid-America Christian the win.
Angela Clifton, a junior from Bethany, Okla., collected three saves for the Stars.
OCU plays Texas Wesleyan at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas.
