Stars fall to John Brown 2-1 in overtime

OCU goes to 5-2, 0-2 in conference play

Allison Worsham scored her eighth goal of the season against John Brown.

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University lost to John Brown (Ark.) 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday at Alumni Field.
OCU fell to 5-2, 0-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer. Allison Worsham, a junior from Edmond, Okla., tallied the Stars' goal.
John Brown was first to get on the board when Sara Frey scored in the 50th minute. Casey O'Brien and Braydi Frederick picked up assists. John Brown had the advantage in shots 13-9.
The Stars battled back and tied the score in the 73rd minute when Worsham scored her eighth goal of the season. Keren Sharabi and Britani Soesbee had assists.
John Brown scored in the 109th minute on an own goal. A player from OCU knocked the ball in the goal.
Ashley Bechtold, a senior from Oklahoma City, gathered five saves in 109 minutes.
Oklahoma City plays Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) at 5 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
