OCU ties John Brown 1-1

Stars go to 1-0-1 in conference play

Logan Stewart's flip throw-in helped OCU tie John Brown.

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University tied John Brown (Ark.) in overtime on Wednesday at Alumni Field.
OCU went to 2-3-2, 1-0-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference men's soccer. The Stars scored on a goal from Danny Frid, a senior from Raunds, England.
John Brown found the back of the net first when Ryan Duncan scored in the second minute. Eli Simonsen and Marco Cardona picked up assists. John Brown held the 18-13 shot advantage.
The Stars tied the game in the 73rd minute. Logan Stewart, a freshman from Denton, Texas, did a flip throw-in that bounced off Frid's head.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a freshman from Novi Sad, collected four saves in 110 minutes.
Oklahoma City plays Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
