Baker stuns OCU 1-0

Stars fall to 0-2 on young season

Allison Worsham registered two shots on goal against Baker.

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Oklahoma City University fell 1-0 to Baker (Kan.) Saturday at North Park.
OCU, ranked No. 8 in NAIA women's soccer, was shutout for the first time since the 2011 season and fell to 0-2 on the young season.
Baker's Shelby Schiraldi scored the game-deciding goal in the 32nd minute of the match when she beat OCU goalkeeper Alissa Reed to make the score 1-0.
Ariel Bayatfar put a shot on target late in the first half, but Baker goalkeeper Rachel Theobald made a save to keep the score at 1-0.
Late in the second half, Allison Worsham had a pair of attempts stopped by Theobald and Baker took the 1-0 victory.
Reed played all 90 minutes in goal for OCU and made two saves.
The Stars will return to action against Benedictine (Kan.) at noon Sunday in Atchison, Kan.
