Baylor tops OCU 91-49

Neal leads Stars with 13 points, Collins adds 11

Autumn Huffman posted eight points and four rebounds against Baylor.

WACO, Texas – Oklahoma City University fell 91-49 to Baylor in an exhibition game Tuesday at the Ferrell Center.
The Stars, ranked No. 2 in NAIA women's basketball, got 13 points from Yvonte Neal and 11 points from Tommitrise Collins but fell to the 10th-ranked team in NCAA Division I.
After a timeout at the 11:33 mark of the first half, Neal scored eight straight points to key the Stars offense.
Neal hit a pair of 3-point jumpers in the first half and Cetoria Petties added another, but the Stars trailed the Lady Bears 51-19 at halftime.
Collins led OCU on quick 7-0 run at the 11:15 mark of the second half. Collins fueled the run with five points.
The Stars scored 12 points in the paint and 13 points off nine Baylor turnovers in the second half.
OCU held Baylor to 38 percent shooting from the floor and was only outscored 40-30 by the Lady Bears in the second frame, but the Stars couldn't overcome the double-digit deficit and fell 91-49.
Neal led the Stars with 13 points, and Collins followed with 11 points and five rebounds. Autumn Huffman pitched in with eight points and four rebounds.
The Stars will open regular-season play against Austin (Texas) at 4 p.m. Nov. 23 in Sherman, Texas.
