Stars rock Texas Wesleyan 6-0

Meghan McMahon and Allison Worsham pushed their season-goal totals to seven apiece

OKLAHOMA CITY – Fifth-ranked Oklahoma City University demolished Texas Wesleyan 6-0 Tuesday at Stars Field.
The Stars, ranked No. 5 in NAIA women's soccer, got two goals apiece from junior Meghan McMahon and freshman Allison Worsham to move to 5-0 on the season.
OCU got on the scoreboard in the 17th minute when sophomore Allie Glazner's cross found McMahon who beat Texas Wesleyan goalkeeper Aubree Gallego to make the score 1-0.
In the 25th minute, senior Sheridan Horner took a pass from fellow senior Brenna Skillern and headed the ball in the net to push the OCU lead to 2-0.
Worsham capped the scoring in the first half when she beat Gallego in the 38th minute to give the Stars a 3-0 lead.
In the 57th minute, Horner found Worsham with a cross from the right side and Worsham found the back of the net for the seventh time this season to stretch the Stars' lead to 4-0.
McMahon got a pass from Worsham in the 65th minute and scored her seventh goal of the season to make the score 5-0.
Glazner put the match on ice in the 72nd minute when she beat Gallego to score her first goal of the season and give OCU the 6-0 victory.
Junior goalkeepers Ashley Bechtold and Alissa Reed split time between the posts. Bechtold got the start and played the first half. Reed made two saves in 45 minutes of action.
OCU outshot Texas Wesleyan 18-5 on the match.
The Stars will hit the road and take on Houston-Victoria (Texas) at 3 p.m. Friday in Victoria, Texas.
