OCU to take on USAO in SAC Tournament first-round match

The Stars finished the regular season with a record of 8-6-3

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University will head to Chickasha, Okla., to take on top-seeded USAO in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament Saturday at Drover Pitch.
The Stars posted an 8-6-3 record overall with a 3-5 record in conference play and received the No. 8 seed in the SAC Tournament. The Stars played in 13 matches that were decided by one goal or less this season including eight overtime matches.
The Stars are led on offense by four players that have scored three goals or more. Senior Ryan Hunter, of Tulsa, Okla., and Kieran McLachlan, a sophomore from Airdrie, Scotland, each have three goals so far this season. Junior Trevor Harmon, of Allen Texas, checks in with five goals and fellow junior Adam Black, of Liverpool, England, leads the team with 12 goals.
OCU's defense and goalkeepers pitched six shutouts on the season including a 0-0 draw with Baker (Kan.), ranked No. 2 at the time, on Aug. 25.
USAO, ranked No. 3 in NAIA men's soccer, finished its regular season with an overall record of 13-0-3 and went 7-0-1 in SAC play. The Stars led the Drovers 2-0 before falling 3-2 in overtime on Oct. 12.
