Stars blast St. Gregory’s 7-0

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma City University blasted St. Gregory's 7-0 Tuesday at Fr. Victor Roberts Field.
The Stars, ranked No. 9 in NAIA women's soccer, got four goals from junior Meghan McMahon, of Oklahoma City, to improve to 15-1 overall and 6-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
In the 19th minute, McMahon took a pass from sophomore Sandra Hallin and found the back of the net to make the score 1-0.
Senior Brenna Skillern beat St. Gregory's goalkeeper Jennifer Taber and score her first goal of the season in the 22nd minute to make the OCU lead to 2-0.
Freshman Allison Worsham made the score 3-0 in the 48th minute when she beat Taber for her 16th goal of the season.
Senior Sheridan Horner picked out McMahon with a pass in the 53nd minute. McMahon took the pass and scored to stretch the OCU to 4-0.
In the 59th minute, McMahon took a pass from Worsham and scored to give OCU a 5-0 lead.
McMahon struck again in the 70th minute when she beat Taber for her fourth goal of the game, 22nd of the season, to push the Stars' lead to 6-0.
Hallin capped the scoring in the 76th minute when she got a pass from sophomore Allie Glazner and scored to give OCU the 7-0 victory.
Junior goalkeepers Ashley Bechtold and Alissa Reed split time between the posts. Each made one save in 45 minutes of action.
The Stars will close the regular season against John Brown (Ark.) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Alumni Field in Siloam Springs, Ark.
