LUBBOCK, Texas – Taylor Artman of Oklahoma City University took fourth place in the Chaps Fall Collegiate on Tuesday at LakeRidge Country Club.
Artman, a senior from Norman, Okla., fired a 65-72-76–213 for his best career finish. The Stars, ranked second in NAIA men's golf by Golf World, finished fifth with a 293-296-296–885.
OCU finished 15 strokes behind Wayland Baptist (Texas). Bradley Sinnett led Wayland Baptist to the win with his individual victory. Sinnett ended four strokes ahead of Artman. Artman's finest career finish had been a tie for eighth in the Lubbock Christian Invitational on Sept. 14-15, 2009 at LakeRidge Country Club.
Jackson Ogle, a freshman from Edmond, Okla., tied for 13th place with a 78-74-69–221 for OCU. Jim Akerstrom, a senior from Danderyd, Sweden, carded 74-80-74–228 for the Stars.
The Stars play next in the Harold Funston Classic on Oct. 10-11 in Huntsville, Texas.
