The Stars lose 1-0 to Baker in John Brown Classic

OCU drops its second 1-0 match in a row

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Oklahoma City University men's soccer fell to Baker (Kan.) 1-0 in match No. 2 of the John Brown Classic on Saturday at Alumni Field.
The loss dropped OCU to 0-2-1 on the season.
The Stars found themselves behind early when Donnie George's header got past sophomore goalkeeper Joe Shulberg to make the score 1-0. Shulberg made one save facing two shots on goal in 90 minutes.
Freshman Adam Black, sophomore Drew Hall and freshman Nick Lovett all managed shots on goal, but were denied by Baker goalkeeper Matt Bickley.
The Stars played solid defense after conceding the goal, only allowing one shot on goal after the fifth minute.
Oklahoma City took 14 shots on the match, but were unable to draw even, leaving the score 1-0.
The Stars will return to action against Texas Wesleyan on 7 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas.
